Ilana Vernovsky is a Chicago-born international researcher with Belarusian roots, currently based in Florence. After first arriving in the city for a study abroad program, she returned in 2025 and began exploring Florence through its everyday food and drink addresses: cafés, brunch spots, gelaterias, wine bars, restaurants, and places she found herself recommending to friends.
